Mahindra & Mahindra has formally launched the long-awaited BE 6e with starting prices as low as Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Together with the BE 6e, the corporation also introduced the XEV 9e. Mahindra has only revealed the price for the base trim of the BE 6e, known as Pack One.
The full pricing details will be revealed at a later time. The pair of electric SUVs will be available for reservation towards the end of January 2025, and they are expected to be delivered by the end of February 2025.
The dimensions of the BE 6e are 4,371mm long, 1,907mm wide, and 1,627mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm, identical to that of the XEV 9e. The crossover vehicle has 19-inch wheels optimized for aerodynamics and 245/55 size tires.
There is the choice of opting for bigger 245/50 R20-inch wheels as well. Mahindra states that the BE 6e has a ground clearance of 207mm and a turning circle of under 10 meters. There is 455 litres of storage in the boot, as well as an extra 45 litres in the frunk.

The BE 6e features a floating screen that is dual 12.3 inches in size. The device runs on 24 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, touted as the quickest automotive-level chipset. The infotainment system provides three pre-set themes – Calm, Cozy, and Club with signature music, ambient lighting, and climate control settings.
The BE 6e is equipped with a pioneering augmented reality head-up display in its segment, a flat-bottom steering wheel with two spokes and an illuminated Mahindra logo, as well as a floating centre console.
Contained within the center console are a drive mode selector styled like an aircraft thrust lever, a rotary dial for selecting drive modes, a wireless charging pad, and cupholders. The ceiling is equipped with an airplane-style control panel for managing lighting and sunroof, as well as distinct strap-style interior door handles.
Higher-end models come with dual-zone climate control, a spacious panoramic sunroof featuring integrated multi-color lighting, UV-blocking laminated glass, automated parking assistance, an in-car camera, electronic parking brake, a powerful Harman Kardon sound system with 16 speakers and Dolby Atmos technology, ambient lighting, a driver’s seat with memory settings that can be adjusted electronically, 5G connectivity with built-in Wi-Fi, Over-the-Air updates, an advanced driver assistance system at Level 2, 360-degree cameras, and seven airbags. The BE 6e also includes a feature for BYOD (bring your own device), enabling users to connect external devices for streaming content.
