Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from the Kalkaji seat, Atishi, initiated a crowdfunding campaign on Sunday to participate in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

During the crowdfunding campaign launch, Atishi expressed her hope that individuals would back her party’s work-oriented politics and contribute generously to achieve her goal of Rs 40 lakh for election expenses.

She additionally shared an online link for individuals to contribute funds prior to the elections in Delhi.

“Residents of Delhi have backed AAP, contributed funds, and funded us to participate in elections. Smaller contributions aided us in competing and win elections. The most impoverished people in Delhi have contributed to us with smaller amount, ranging from Rs 10 to 100. The honest politics of AAP was beneficial, and we did not solicit funds from corporates,” Atishi stated.

“Even after being in a decade in power in Delhi, the AAP does not have a rupee of corruption. We will contest the elections with the backing of the people of Delhi and the nation, just as was done in prior elections,” Atishi stated.

In a subtle jab at the BJP, Atishi remarked, “Maybe they have amassed sufficient funds from their acquaintances and via government contracts, so they no longer need to raise money for election contests.”

Atishi, aiming for re-election in the Kalkaji assembly constituency, is up against former MP and senior BJP figure Ramesh Bidhuri along with Congress’s Alka Lamba. The 70-member Delhi Assembly will hold elections on February 5, with results to be revealed on February 8.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
