Heightened Security Measures Enforced at Delhi Borders Amid Farmers’ “Delhi Chalo” Protest
Significant security measures have been implemented at the national capital’s borders in response to the farmers’ Tuesday “Delhi Chalo” protest. Large gatherings and tractor trolleys are prohibited from entering Delhi, and Delhi police have already put Section 144 into effect to maintain law and order.
Images from the borders of Shambhu, Tikri, and Gazipur in Delhi showed barbed wire and barricades placed on the roads to prevent entry.
Similar configurations, featuring rows of barricades lining the road, are seen at the Singhu border.
