Rasmus Paludan, one of the most hunted man globally, has made it his mission to honor the passing of Iraqi militia chief, Salwan Momika, who was discovered shot dead on January 30.
This time, he has resorted to burning the Quran not only to criticize Islam but also to honor the “sacrifice of Momika”. The location of his protest on February 1 was the Turkish embassy located in Denmark. It is said that the danger to Paludan’s life has risen significantly following Momika’s death.
“I am here with a couple of Qurans at the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen. As you can see, there is already one ablaze. This is to honor the sacrifice of Salwan Momika and his critique of Islam. The police in Copenhagen made the decision to prohibit my protests yesterday. The answer is to inform the police that you are organizing a protest. I had a lot of fun setting this large book on fire…,” he remarked.

Paludan has also addressed “the increasing influence of Islam in the West.”
Critics regard his opinions as radical and Islamophobic, whereas supporters praise his courage and outspokenness.
