According to the FIR, the events occurred on August 13 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. The family of one of the girls became suspicious on August 13 after speaking to the other child’s family member, who told them they were filing a sexual harassment complaint.

Following this, the girl’s parents decided to take her for a medical test, the complainant stated in the FIR. The medical report showed that her hymen was breached, the complaint stated.

The complainant mentioned that the girl seemed afraid and informed the family that a “dada” (Marathi for elder brother) at school had taken off her clothes and touched her private parts.

Parents reported to police on August 16

According to sources, the family said that they had informed the police about the incident on August 16. They alleged that the police registered the FIR 12 hours later, around 9 pm on August 16.

The FIR mentions that the accused, who was an attendant at the school, had sexually abused the child.

The accused, identified as Akshay Shinde, was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sections 65(2) (rape on girl under twelve years of age), 74 (assault or criminal force with the intent to outrage modesty), 75 (sexual harassment offences), and 76 (assault or criminal force used with the intent to disrobe) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
