Pooja Khedkar, the controversial probationary IAS officer who is currently under fire, has filed a police complaint accusing Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase of harassment. According to police sources, Khedkar made the complaint to the Washim police on July 15.
The complaint was forwarded to the Pune police Tuesday night.
Crime branch expected to probe the case
According to reports, the Crime Branch is expected to examine the case, and DM Diwse’s statement will be recorded shortly. Following the investigation, it will be decided whether or not to file a FIR.
“Women police personnel visited Khedkar at her residence in Washim on Monday when she lodged a complaint of harassment against Pune district collector Suhas Diwase,” a source told.
Khedkar came under fire after accusations appeared that she demanded privileges and facilities that she was not entitled to as a trainee IAS officer while serving as assistant collector in Pune.

Who is Suhas Diwase?
Suhas Diwase, the Pune District Collector, formally notified Khedkar’s wrongdoing to the state chief secretary. In a thorough report, he described the probationary IAS officer’s “sense of entitlement” and behavioral difficulties during her probation in Pune.
In a letter dated June 24, Diwase reported that Khedkar not only made outrageous requests, but that her father, Deelip Khedkar, a retired IAS officer, also allegedly intimidated district workers to meet his daughter’s demands.

Diwase also stated in his report that continuing Khedkar’s training in Pune would be unsuitable due to potential administrative complications. The report also stated that she declined an offered chamber since it lacked a connected bathroom.
In response to Diwase’s allegation, the state government relocated the 32-year-old probationary IAS officer to Washim district as supernumerary assistant collector.
This development comes after the Maharashtra government said on Tuesday that Khedkar’s district training program had been halted due to charges of fabricating disability certifications to pass her civil services examination. She was also summoned back to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie on July 23 for “necessary action.”
