NGO files complaint against actor Nagarjuna Akkineni over illegal land encroachment
An allegation has been made against actor Nagarjuna Akkineni at Hyderabad’s Madhapur police station, claiming he illegally encroached on land. The President of the NGO Janam Kosam Manasakshi Foundation, Kasireddy Bhaskara Reddy, filed the complaint. Reddy claimed that Nagarjuna illicitly built the N Convention Centre, worth hundreds of crores, which was torn down in August.
It is said that the contested land is located within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone of Thammidikunta Lake.
Allegations of generating illegal revenue from encroached land
Reddy claims that the actor has been making substantial illicit profits from the illegally occupied land for many years. He has demanded severe legal consequences for Nagarjuna, such as his arrest, due to these supposed infractions.

The official statement regarding the complaint has not been released by the police yet.
The N Convention Center is a well-liked location for a variety of events, such as weddings and corporate meetings.
On August 24, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA) agency carried out the demolition of actor Akkineni Nagarjuna’s property, N Convention. This step was a part of a continuous effort to eliminate unauthorized structures that have encroached upon water bodies and public lands.
The N Convention Center, occupying 10 acres, was discovered to have breached multiple land use and environmental rules. The center had advanced into the Tummidikunta lake, taking up 1.12 acres inside the Full Tank Level (FTL) and an extra 2 acres in the lake’s buffer zone.
In a previous statement, the actor denounced the demolition as “illegal” and stated that it violated stay orders while being done without any advance notice. He made it clear that the land is private and does not violate any tank plan.
