Bomb threats to flights: Suspect used X handle ‘schizobomber777’; traced to London and Germany
In the midst of multiple bomb threats targeting various Indian flights, authorities have identified a suspect believed to be behind the threats using the online alias ‘schizobomber777’. As per reports, the culprit directed the operation through IP addresses that were traced to London and Germany.
Reports indicated that the X account, currently being investigated, was created on Tuesday and shared seven false messages that caused serious aviation security concerns. The handle is no longer in operation.
The suspect used multiple VPN services, making it difficult to trace the exact location as the IP addresses “bounced off” different countries, sources added.

Authorities probing if this case is linked to several other hoax bomb threats
At the moment, officials are looking into whether this incident is linked to multiple other instances of false bomb threats received by a few flights in the past.
Over 20 Indian airline flights, including both domestic and international, were targeted with bomb threats this week. On Monday, three international flights received a bomb threat, with 10 more flights facing similar threats on Tuesday. A minimum of six additional threats were documented on the following day. All threats made on social media were deemed untrue following security checks.
Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu stated that the government is closely keeping an eye on the whole situation.
“Mumbai Police has arrested a minor responsible for issuing bomb threats targeting three flights. All others responsible for the disruptions will be identified and duly prosecuted,” Naidu said.
