Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also recognized as the ‘BeerBiceps guy’, appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) regarding his contentious comments about comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, which sparked significant outrage.
The NCW had called upon Allahbadia, Raina, and others regarding the inappropriate comments made on the show last month, addressing the serious nature of the offensive statements from content creators like Apoorva Makhija, Jaspreet Singh, and Ashish Chanchlani, along with the show’s producers, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra.
Mukhija also faced the NCW chairperson and legal team, where she was interrogated about the contentious remarks. Producers Bothra and Pujari were spotted arriving at the commission location for the hearing, alongside Ashish Chanchalani’s legal representatives who were also in attendance.

The commission summoned them on February 17. However, at their behest mentioning personal safety, overseas travel, and logistical issues, the NCW postponed the hearings.
Allahbadia and Mukhija were called on March 6, while Samay Raina has a summons for March 11. Jaspreet Singh has been called on March 11, while Ashish Chanchlani was called today.
THE WHOLE CONTROVERSY
Allahbadia ignited a significant backlash last month with an inappropriate remark made while appearing on the roast show India’s Got Latent. He posed a question to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or join in once and stop it forever?”
A viral clip of the comment rapidly emerged, igniting anger as social media users decried the obscenity being presented as humor on online platforms. Consequently, multiple police reports were lodged against Allahabadia and other participants of the show.
In light of the controversy over Allahbadia’s comment and several FIRs, Samay Raina opted to remove all episodes. The Supreme Court also strongly condemned the show’s creators, stating that crude humor should not be regarded as a skill.
During the recent hearing on March 3, the Supreme Court permitted Allahbadia to restart ‘The Ranveer Show’, on the condition that he submits a commitment declaring that he will uphold standards of decency and morality, allowing viewers of any age to enjoy the show.
