June 22, 2026: In a shocking incident that has drawn widespread attention, Vijendra Nath Tiwari, the elder brother of acclaimed Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, was critically injured after being attacked outside his residence in Belsand village under the Barauli police station limits of Bihar’s Gopalganj district.

According to police officials, the attack took place on the evening of June 21, 2026. Tiwari was reportedly sitting outside his house when a group of assailants approached him and launched a sudden assault. During the attack, he sustained serious injuries and collapsed on the spot, bleeding heavily.

Family members and local residents rushed to help him as the attackers fled the scene. He was immediately taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital, where doctors provided emergency medical treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, medical authorities referred him to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) for advanced care. Hospital sources have described his condition as serious, and he remains under close medical supervision.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the attack may have been linked to a long-standing land dispute. Police have registered a case and begun an intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault. Authorities have confirmed that one suspect has already been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend any additional individuals involved.
