September 2021 saw RKS Bhadauria retire from government employment, making way for Vivek Ram Chaudhari to take over as chief.

“I am grateful to the party leadership for providing me with this chance to once more aid in the development of the country. I spent more than forty years in the IAF, but the past eight years, when the BJP administration was in power, were the greatest. This government’s strong measures to modernize, empower, and make our armed forces self-sufficient have not only given the forces new capabilities, but also newfound confidence. On the ground, the government’s decision to become more self-reliant is showing results… The government’s actions are critical from a security perspective and will propel India to new heights in the world,” former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said after joining BJP.

Bhadauria’s long service in the Indian Air Force (IAF) was praised by BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde, who also expressed confidence in his ability to make a significant political contribution following his active participation in the armed forces.

Who is RKS Bhadauria?

As one of the first IAF officers to fly the Rafale fighter jet, Bhadauria was crucial in completing the deal with France for these cutting-edge aircraft. From September 2019 to September 2021, he was the Chief of Air staff.

Bhadauria served in key positions before being named Air Force Chief. He was the Southern Air Command’s Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) from March 2017 to August 2018, and the Training Command’s AOC-in-C from August 2018 until his promotion to vice chief of the Air Staff in May 2019.

RKS Bhadauria has been awarded with numerous accolades during his 36-year career, such as the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, the Vayu Sena Medal, and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal. He was named the President of India’s honorary Aide De Campe in January 2019.

Likely to be fielded from Ghaziabad

According to sources active in political circles, Bhadauria can also be made a candidate from BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. He can be made BJP candidate from Ghaziabad or Firozabad seat. Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria is originally a resident of Korath village in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
