Iran’s warning came after Trump issued a profanity-filled ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences.

April 5, 2026: Hours after Donald Trump launched a sharp and expletive-laden tirade against Iran, demanding that Tehran reopen the Strait of Hormuz, senior Iranian leaders hit back forcefully, warning that his rhetoric risks dragging the United States into a broader and more dangerous regional conflict.

In a strong rebuke, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf accused Trump of pushing the situation toward catastrophe. “Your reckless actions are dragging the United States into a living hell for every single family, while the entire region risks going up in flames because you insist on following Netanyahu’s orders,” he said. “Make no mistake: you will gain nothing through war crimes.”

The comments came shortly after Trump escalated tensions with a provocative post on Truth Social, in which he threatened to target Iranian infrastructure. Declaring that Tuesday would be “Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day” in Iran, he warned Tehran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences, using profanity and unusually aggressive language to underline the ultimatum.

The warning is part of a broader escalation in the ongoing standoff, with Trump previously setting deadlines for Iran to either reopen key maritime routes or agree to U.S. demands on nuclear and missile issues. The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global chokepoint for energy supplies, and any disruption there has far-reaching economic and geopolitical implications.

Iran’s response was not limited to official statements. The Iranian Embassy in Thailand also took a swipe at Trump’s remarks, posting on X with sarcasm: “Judging by how POTUS swears like a teenager, it seems the US has reached the Stone Age sooner than expected.”

The exchange highlights the increasingly heated rhetoric between Washington and Tehran, with both sides trading threats amid rising military activity and fears of a wider regional escalation.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
