The Volvo XC40 Recharge has been launched in a new 2WD single motor model named ‘Plus’ available for purchase. Customers may now make reservations for this new SUV model at their local Volvo outlets in person or online. At Volvo’s Hoskote manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, this new variant is assembled domestically. Due to a lower power output, the XC40 Recharge Plus variant’s smaller 69 kWh battery pack provides a little shorter WLTP-claimed driving range than its all-wheel-drive (AWD) cousin.

Both models have an electronically imposed top speed limit of 180 kmph. The Volvo XC40 Recharge is compatible with both 11 kW AC and DC rapid charging modes.
With the release of the new two-wheel-drive (2WD) edition, the XC40 Recharge’s feature list has not undergone any significant alterations. A 9.-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay support, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, an 8-speaker sound system with 250 W of power, wireless phone charging, and an air purifier are among its features. It also comes equipped with features like dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a motorized tailgate.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge rivals the BYD Seal, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6, while it can also be regarded as an alternative to the Volvo C40 Recharge.
