Mid-sized and full-sized SUVs sell in large quantities because they provide a bit extra for the whole family in terms of room, comfort, features, utility, or practicality. This time, higher OEM dispatches along with the introduction of new make-year models significantly improved customer mood, which in turn contributed to excellent sales. Here is the full best-selling SUV chart for the month of January 2024, with the Mahindra Scorpio dominating the pack.
Mahindra Scorpio
The Mahindra Scorpio, one of India’s most recognizable SUVs, proudly held the top rank for the third consecutive month and emerged as the best-selling vehicle. With its magnificent history spanning more than 20 years, the Scorpio has gradually become an invincible vehicle, particularly in the seven-seater SUV market.
Maruti Grand Vitara
After having a fantastic first year on the market, it is clear that the Grand Vitara has quickly ascended to the top of India’s SUV sales rankings. The Grand Vitara provides a lot more for a lot less, with a sophisticated blend of balanced design, great utility, luxury features, and effective performance. For this same reason, the SUV outsold the wildly successful Hyundai Creta in January 2024, selling 13,438 units, making it the second best-selling SUV of the month with a whopping 55% year-over-year gain.
Hyundai Creta
Even though it comes after the gracious Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta was still very good. Having sold 13,212 units overall, the Hyundai Creta maintained its third-place ranking on the list even though its year-over-year increase fell by 12%. The introduction of the brand-new 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift was the primary cause of the SUV’s failure to rank in the top ten in January, in addition to its declining growth.
