The arrests mark a potential breakthrough in the investigation into the shooting outside a Juhu football ground, where Tiger Shroff escaped serious injury while his driver and a bystander were wounded.

October 19: Three men suspected of involvement in the firing attack on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff have reportedly been arrested at Rajasthan’s Kota railway station while travelling by train, according to reports. The alleged arrests could mark a major breakthrough in the investigation into the attack in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening.
Two of the suspects are reportedly from Haryana and the third from Maharashtra. All three are alleged to have links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Investigators suspect that the attackers had conducted reconnaissance on Shroff’s movements before carrying out the shooting.
However, the reported arrests could not be independently confirmed from the latest police updates available. Earlier reports said Mumbai Police had detained one person for questioning in Santacruz while continuing efforts to identify and trace the alleged shooters.
The attack took place at around 7 pm on October 18 near Pushpa Narsee Park, also known as Jamnabai Nursery, in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood. Shroff had reportedly finished playing football and was leaving the venue in his car when three motorcycle-borne assailants, reportedly dressed in white shirts, opened fire. The location was around 350 metres from Juhu police station.
Reports differ on the precise number of rounds fired, with accounts putting the figure at between four and seven. Tiger Shroff escaped without any gunshot injuries, although some reports said he sustained minor abrasions. His driver, identified as Firdosh, suffered a bullet injury to his left hand, while a man standing nearby, reported to be an autorickshaw driver, was also wounded in the chest. Both were taken to hospital for treatment.
Suspects Kept an Eye on Tiger Shroff
\Investigators suspect the assailants may have monitored Shroff’s regular Sunday football routine and waited for him to leave the ground. CCTV footage reportedly captured two men opening fire before the attackers fled on a motorcycle. According to media reports, they travelled along SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri before abandoning the motorcycle near Andheri West railway station and escaping by train.
The alleged escape route has become a key part of the investigation, with police examining CCTV footage and tracing the suspects’ movements. Reports that the men crossed into Gujarat before reaching Rajasthan have not been independently confirmed.

Shortly after the shooting, social media posts and a voice message attributed to men identifying themselves as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The messages alleged that Shroff had ignored earlier warnings and referred to his alleged associations with actor Salman Khan. They also threatened others in the film industry who continued to work with Khan.
Mumbai Police have not publicly established the authenticity of the claim or conclusively confirmed the gang’s involvement. Investigators are examining the messages alongside CCTV footage, forensic evidence and other leads to determine who planned and carried out the attack.
Police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act and formed multiple teams to track down the assailants. The investigation was being handled with the involvement of the Mumbai Crime Branch. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Shroff, while Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that the perpetrators would be traced and brought to justice.
If confirmed, the reported arrests at Kota railway station would represent a significant development in the investigation. Police are yet to publicly establish the identities and respective roles of all those involved, the motive behind the shooting, or whether the attack was directed by members of an organised criminal network.
