Terrorist gang busted in Poonch

Police and security forces have found some  great success in Poonch district of Jammu division. A terrorist network has been busted here. Police on Sunday arrested a headmaster, who was working for terrorists as an OGW. Pakistani pistol and two Chinese grenades have also been recovered from him.

The Army’s 39 RR, Romeo Force of 6 Sector along with police and SOG Poonch carried out a joint operation in Hari Budha in Surankote area of ​​Poonch district on Sunday, police said. During this, Kamaruddin was arrested, who was working with the terrorists as an over-ground worker (OGW).

Lok Sabha elections may have been disrupted

Kaaruddin, who was caught, was working as a headmaster in a school and a Pakistan made pistol and two Chinese made grenades were recovered from his house. This consignment is suspected to be used to create disturbances in the upcoming elections in Poonch region. The search operation is going on.

Earlier on Saturday, a conspiracy to create disturbance in the elections was foiled by destroying a terrorist hideout in Dallas Barneli area of ​​Reasi district. Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other explosives have been recovered from this hideout. One IED was connected to the tape recorder and the other to the calculator. Reasi is part of Jammu parliamentary seat.

On April 13, security forces destroyed a terrorist hideout in Lancha area of ​​Mahor in Reasi district and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED), two pistols, 400 grams of explosive powder, cartridges and other items. The IED was hidden in a tiffin box.

In January this year, security forces had demolished a terrorist hideout in Hadiwala Karmkatha area under Mahur tehsil of Reasi district and recovered arms, ammunition and other items from there. About one kilogram of explosive powder, about 10 meters of codex wire, two detonators, a grenade detonator, 29 cartridges of AK-47 rifle, a pistol and its magazine etc. were recovered from there.
