Tihar Jail Administration released report
It is noteworthy that Tihar Jail administration on Saturday sent a report on diabetes and insulin medicine to Delhi LG VK Saxena. The administration said that he had stopped getting insulin injections months before his arrest by ED on March 21. Kejriwal is taking oral medicine for sugar on the advice of a doctor of a private clinic in Telangana.
The jail administration report states that doctors examined Kejriwal. After which it was said, ‘All the health conditions of the undertrial prisoner (Kejriwal) in judicial custody were examined. His blood sugar level is not worrisome, and there is no need to inject insulin at present.

However, Tihar Jail source said that the issue of insulin was neither raised by Arvind Kejriwal nor suggested by the doctors during the video consultation.
Tihar Jail’s reaction came after Delhi Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj’s press conference earlier in the day, in which he criticized the jail authorities for contradicting their earlier stand of having all facilities to handle a diabetic prisoner.
