An employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has taken his own life, reportedly because of harassment from his wife, whom he had been married to for one year.
Manav Sharma was discovered suspended in his residence in Agra on the morning of February 24. After his unfortunate passing, Sharma’s relatives tried to lodge a complaint with Sadar Police, but the officers reportedly dismissed them, claiming obligations related to Maha Shivratri. The family subsequently raised the issue with the CM portal.
On Thursday night, Sadar police filed a case in response to a complaint received through WhatsApp and have initiated an investigation.
Prior to taking this drastic action, Sharma filmed a heartfelt video that lasted almost seven minutes, which his family eventually found on his phone.
In the video, he appears to be weeping and urging individuals to “consider and discuss men” while he held his wife accountable for his drastic action. He also expressed regret to his parents for his choice.
