As Delhi faces worsening air quality and cold weather, the National Zoological Park (Delhi Zoo) has implemented various actions to protect its animal inhabitants.
From environmentally friendly transportation to improved dust management systems, the zoo has established a thorough winter management strategy. Situated in a comparatively lower elevation region, the zoo enjoys a degree of natural shielding from pollution.
Zoo officials have implemented measures including substituting diesel vehicles with cleaner options and utilizing fogger machines to disperse water and reduce airborne dust, especially in pollution-sensitive regions.
Alongside tackling pollution, the zoo has updated its winter care methods to keep animals warm while minimizing environmental damage.
