Finally, after a month-long dry spell in the Kashmir region, snowfall has begun in the southern region of Kashmir. Sources told News Agency (CNI) Current News of India, the snowfall started at Peer Ki Gali in Shopian District along the Mughal Road.

The Meteorological Office has issued an advisory from January 28-31, warning of the possibility of temporary road closures in higher reaches and important passes like Sinthan pass, Mughal Road, Sadhna and Razdan pass, Zojila, etc.
In a statement to News Agency Kashmir Scroll, a meteorological department official said that travelers should make appropriate plans.
There is a chance of light rain or snow in a few locations on February 1.
