Skillhub Online Games Federation (SOGF) on Thursday announced that the Major Dhyan Chand Scholarship award of Rs 28.80 lakh will be awarded to 48 regional winners of the SOG Grandmasters Series. Skillhub Online Games Federation (SOGF) organized Mind Sports Tournament (South Zone) in Bengaluru. The competition organized by SOGF was held in three categories e-chess, blind chess and rummy in which a total of 132 players competed for the top position.

Under the Major Dhyan Chand Scholarship Award, 12 winners from each region will be provided year-long assistance, the total amount of which will be Rs 28.80 lakh. These winners will encourage more individuals to play mind sports through the Major Dhyan Chand Scholarship.
Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot handed over the prize money to the winners of the South Zone.
Following the region-wise tournaments of the SOG Grandmasters Series, two zonal finalists of Chess, two of Blind Chess and six finalists of Rummy will compete at the National in Delhi in early March 2025 for their respective titles and a consolidated prize pool of over Rs 2 crore. do.
