From Aryan to Anaya: The hormonal transformation journey

Aryan, the son of former India cricketer Sanjay Bangar, shared his 10-month hormonal transformation journey, with the video garnering widespread attention on social media. In an Instagram reel, the 23-year-old posted several throwback photos with former India captains MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, as well as with his father, after undergoing hormone replacement therapy.

Aryan who is now known as Anaya Bangar post her hormone transformation has been among the news

Like his father, Aryan is a cricketer who bats left-handed and previously played for Islam Gymkhana in club cricket at the local level. He additionally played for Hinckley Cricket Club in Leicestershire and amassed many runs.

Although she may have quit cricket, Anaya is content to discover her true self. “Pursuing my dream of playing cricket at a professional level has been a path marked by sacrifices, determination, and steadfast commitment.”

“From the early hours on the field to confronting the skepticism and opinions of others, each step has required resilience. However, apart from the game, I experienced a different journey. A journey of self-exploration and numerous obstacles encountered.

“Embracing my true self meant making hard choices, letting go of the comfort of fitting in, and standing up for who I am, even when it wasn’t easy. Today, I’m proud to be a part of the sport I love at any level or category ,not only as an athlete but as my authentic self. The road hasn’t been easy, but finding my true self has been the greatest victory of all,” she wrote on Instagram.

Anaya leveled serious allegations on fellow cricketers

In an candid interview, she recounted the unwanted nude images and verbal mistreatment she faced in the cricket community, revealing the grim aspects of her journey.

“There has been support and there have been some harassment as well… There have been a few cricketers who randomly sent me nude pictures of them,” Bangar said, recalling the difficulties of navigating her transition in a sport often associated with toxic masculinity.

Having started her transition through Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), Anaya has publicly supported increased inclusivity in cricket. Her experiences illustrate not only individual struggles but also broader systemic issues in the sport.

“The cricket world is full of insecurity and toxic masculinity,” she remarked, explaining how she felt the need to hide her true self while competing with well-known Indian players such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, and Musheer Khan.

Anaya recounted a distressing experience involving a cricketer who harassed her publicly, later asking her for private photos. She furthermore remembered an unsettling encounter with a seasoned cricketer while in India.

“There was another instance, while I was in India, I mentioned my situation to a puraane (veteran) cricketer.” She recounted the shocking incident, saying, “He said to me, ‘Let’s get in the car, I want to sleep with you.’”

Her revelations emerge at a time when discussions about inclusivity in cricket are growing stronger.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
