The Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended a suspect on Saturday at Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh related to the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Mumbai earlier this week.

The arrested suspect, Aakash Kailash Kannojia (31), was aboard the Jnaneshwari Express traveling from Mumbai LTT to Kolkata Shalimar.

Officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) stated that the suspect was “apprehended from the Mumbai-Howrah Jnaneswari Express on the lead of the Mumbai Police. Around 2 pm, as the train arrived in Durg, the suspect – who was sitting in the general compartment – exited and was swiftly detained. He is undergoing questioning.”

“The Mumbai Police had sent the suspect’s photo, train number, and location to the RPF, leading to his capture. He is presently in the custody of the RPF,” they stated.

“Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked some days ago and the suspect has been caught from Durg by RPF. Mumbai Police is coming and the suspect will be handed over to them,” said Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai.

Reports indicate that Khan had a lengthy cut on the right side of his neck, an additional cut on his right shoulder, and a severe stab wound on the left side of his back. Moreover, he had a small abrasion on his left elbow.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
