West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose criticizes CM Mamata Banerjee
On Thursday, Governor of West Bengal, CV Ananda Bose, criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and referred to her as the ‘Lady Macbeth of Bengal’. Bose announced he would “socially boycott” Banerjee and refuse to share any public platform with her due to the controversy surrounding the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in RG Kar hospital in Kolkata.
“It is ironic that the Home Minister also holds the position of Health Minister. The Lady Macbeth of West Bengal controls the waters of Hoogly but cannot wash away the stained hands. The Chief Minister currently holds the position of Home Minister and is choosing to protest instead of fulfill their duty to protect.” The Governor mentioned that violence can be found in the street, hospital, and cities.
Governor vows not to share public platforms with Mamata
“I will not be sharing any public platform with the chief minister. I will take proactive steps against her for violating Constitutional provisions. My role as the Governor will be confined to the Constitutional obligations,” Bose said.
