Jaipur:
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal, 27, has been booked on serious charges of raping a minor, Jaipur Police confirmed on Friday. This is the second rape case filed against the cricketer in recent weeks.
Fresh FIR Lodged in Jaipur:
According to police officials, an FIR was registered on July 23 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (Indian Penal Code equivalent) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The complainant, a 19-year-old aspiring cricketer, approached the police stating that she first came into contact with Dayal two years ago. At that time, she was a minor. The first alleged incident of rape took place in 2023, when she was 17 years old. The most recent incident reportedly occurred in April 2025 in Jaipur, during the Indian Premier League season.

Victim’s Allegations:
The survivor alleged that Yash Dayal promised to help her in her cricketing career and used this pretext to initiate a relationship. According to the Station House Officer (SHO) of the jurisdictional police station in Jaipur, the girl said she was repeatedly exploited.
“She stated that the first incident took place when she was a minor. The latest reported incident happened during the IPL, which had a few matches hosted in Jaipur,” the SHO told the media.
Earlier Rape Complaint in Ghaziabad:
Earlier this month, another rape case was filed against Dayal in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. In that case, a woman accused him of emotionally, mentally, and physically exploiting her over a period of five years. She alleged that Dayal had promised to marry her but deceived and abused her instead.
That complaint was registered on June 21 through the Chief Minister’s online grievance portal, after which police action was initiated.

No Official Response Yet:
As of now, neither Yash Dayal nor the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise has issued any official statement regarding either of the cases. The police have said that investigations are ongoing, and further action will be taken based on evidence and legal procedures.
Yash Dayal came into the spotlight during the IPL and domestic cricket seasons in recent years. He was acquired by RCB in the IPL auctions and played limited matches for the franchise.
Both cases the one in Ghaziabad and now in Jaipur are currently under legal scrutiny. The Jaipur police have stated that appropriate legal procedures are being followed, and more details will emerge as the investigation progresses.
