Manu Bhaker of India continued her impressive performance at the Paris Olympics 2024, as she and Sarbajot Singh qualified for the bronze medal match in the 10m air pistol mixed team event on July 29.
Manu and Sarbajot finished third in the qualifying round in Paris on Monday, while Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema finished tenth.
Manu-Sarabjot score 193, 195 and 192 in three series
Manu and Sarabjot would score 193, 195, and 192 in their three series, and they would meet Korea’s Jin Ye Oh and Wonho Lee for the bronze medal. The gold medal match will pit Turkey’s Illayda Tarhan and Yusef Dikec against Serbia’s Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec. The two bouts will take place on Tuesday, July 30.

Manu-Sarabjot finish 3rd while Rythm-Arjun finish 10th
Manu would begin with 10 and 9 on her first two shots, while Rhythm and Arjun had taken the lead and were in the top three. Rhythm appeared to be on top of her game, as her first four strokes were all 10, while he got 58 from his first six shots. Manu would hit a hat-trick of 10s, but Sarabjot got three 9s in his first six shots, knocking the pair out of the top four. Rhythm and Arjun would rise to second place as they continued to hit 10s. Arjun had a delayed finish and finished with 97 points, moving him and Rhythm to fourth place.
They would eventually tumble to fifth place since Rhythm’s last two strokes were 9 and he finished with 97 points. Sarabjot recovered well, as the Indian pairs finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Manu and Sarbjot started their second series with only 10s and climbed to second place, while Rhythm and Arjun struggled a little. Arjun had an 8 in his second series, forcing the team to fall behind as Rhythm started strong.
Sarbajot and Manu ended their final series with 5 10s between them to book their spot for the bronze medal tie.
