The CJP delegation sought the immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Rs 1 crore compensation for the families of over 20 NEET aspirants who allegedly lost their lives.

New Delhi, July 20: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Monday asserted that its nationwide agitation would continue despite holding talks with Union Health Minister and BJP president J.P. Nadda, saying the meeting ended without any breakthrough on its key demands.
A CJP delegation met Nadda at his residence in the national capital and submitted a written memorandum outlining the group’s demands. However, the organisation maintained that the protest would continue until the government accepted all its demands.
Addressing reporters after the meeting, CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das said the delegation had clearly conveyed three non-negotiable demands to the Union minister.
“We met J.P. Nadda twice today. During the discussions, we placed our three demands before him. First, Sonam Wangchuk must be released immediately. Second, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must resign or be removed from the Union Cabinet. Our protest will continue until his resignation is secured. Third, the families of more than 20 NEET aspirants who allegedly lost their lives must be provided compensation of Rs 1 crore each. We have urged J.P. Nadda to ensure these demands are addressed,” Das said.
The meeting came amid heightened protests in Delhi, where demonstrators have been demanding accountability over alleged examination irregularities, including the NEET-UG controversy, and calling for sweeping reforms in the education system.
Following the meeting, Nadda confirmed that discussions had taken place after the protesters approached the government for dialogue.

“This morning, for the first time, a proposal came from the protesters to hold talks with the government, and our discussions have been ongoing since 11:50 AM. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. A detailed verbal discussion was held with their delegation, and they also submitted a written petition to me,” the Union minister said in a post on social media.
While describing the discussions as cordial, Nadda did not indicate whether the government had accepted any of the demands or committed to specific action.
The CJP, however, said the talks had not resulted in any substantive progress and reiterated that the agitation would continue until all three demands were fulfilled.
The protest has gained national attention following the participation of activist and educator Sonam Wangchuk, whose detention and subsequent hospitalisation after a prolonged hunger strike have become central issues for the demonstrators. Protesters have vowed to intensify their campaign in the coming days if the government fails to respond to their demands.
