In the midst of strict security and intricate plans for traffic and safety measures, thousands of people took a sacred bath at the Triveni Sangam at the Maha Kumbh Mela on the occasion of Maghi Purnima early on Wednesday.

The fourth bathing event during the biggest spiritual assembly in the world is the Maghi Purnima snan.

The month-long Kalpavas will come to a conclusion with the sacred bath, and almost 10 lakh Kalpvasis will begin to depart the Maha Kumbh region.

Thousands of devotees made their way to the Sangam Nose, where 30 people were killed in a stampede during Mauni Amavasya Amrit snan last month. To make sure that nothing untoward occurs this time, authorities are constantly on guard.

In order to guarantee that the devotees take the holy bath and depart the Kumbh area without any problems, officials said they had prepared intricate plans for the event.

All Kalpvasis have been asked by the administration to abide by traffic laws and park in designated spots only.

According to Kumbh SSP Rajesh Dwivedi, the police were handling all crowd pressure points at the fair, and the movement of pilgrims was proceeding without incident.

He said the police officers have been stationed in the Kumbh area for two months and work 12-hour shifts. “We are assisting people who are asking for directions,” the SSP explained.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been monitoring the situation from his official house since 4 a.m.

In addition to Adityanath, Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, Principal Secretary (Home) to the Chief Minister Sanjay Prasad, and officials from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat were present at the war room at 5 Kalidas Marg in Lucknow.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
