The 18th Edition of the Indian Premier League is slightly past the half-way mark and the fate of teams is decided, though mathematically there are chances that some teams might bring in a surprise and make it to the last 4.

KKR lie at the 7th spot with only 3 wins

The Kolkata Knight Riders is one team which is lagging behind in the points table. The Ajinkya Rahane-led team at the 7th spot with 3 wins out of their 8 matches. Its still not over for KKR as they have got six more games to go and need to win at least 5 out of those to have a chance to qualify for the last 4.

IPL 2025 POINTS TABLE

KKR’s all-rounder Moeen Ali is one man who firmly believes that the team can make it to the playoffs and they have got all the resources required to do the job.

“Even Mumbai had a bad start and now…”

“Yes definitely. If you look at history, even Mumbai had a bad start and now they’ve won four in a row and they’re flying. We need to have that same mindset. We’re halfway through, we have to win most of our games,” Moeen Ali said ahead of their crucial encounter against Punjab Kings.

KKR’s batting line-up has struggled big time with their star players like Iyer, Rinku and Russel not firing in most of the matches.

KKR’s middle order has not been able to fire

Even in their last match against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur, their middle order collapsed dramatically losing  eight wickets for just 33 runs.

The match before that, chasing a total of 239 against Lucknow Super Giants, KKR fell just 4 short of the target even after being in a very good position.

“It was not so long ago where we almost chased 240, so we did play well in between. It’s about having the mindset where you kind of fool yourself into thinking you’re playing well and just go all out,” Moeen said.

Moeen Ali believes that the team has got a good mix of players, who can be ultra-aggressive like Sunil Narine and classic players like Ajinkya Rahane, who is in red-hot form and players like Raghuvanshi, Narine and himself.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
