Kalki 2898 AD becomes tenth highest-grossing Indian film of all time
‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ performed extraordinarily well in its second weekend at the global box office. According to the trade website sacnilk, the movie earned approximately Rs 230 crore between its second Friday and Sunday, bringing its total 11-day gross to Rs 832 crore worldwide.
The Prabhas-starrer has now eclipsed Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ and Sunny Deol’s blockbuster ‘Gadar 2’ at the global box office, becoming the tenth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ had a phenomenal second Sunday, grossing an estimated Rs 60 crore. Out of this Rs 832 crore, approximately Rs 600 crore comes from the domestic market, while the abroad sector (mostly the US and Canada markets) contributes approximately Rs 230 crore or more.
Kalki 2898 AD set to break worldwide collections of Animal and Bajrangi Bhaijaan
The film, which is heavily based on its unique genre of science fiction and mythology, is now aiming to surpass the worldwide gross business of ‘Secret Superstar’ (Rs 912.75 crore), ‘Animal’ (Rs 915 crore), and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (Rs 922.03 crore) to become the seventh highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Interestingly, after ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ reaches Rs 900 crore, it will compete with Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest hits, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’, in terms of total revenue. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in key roles and has already become Prabhas’ second-highest grossing picture, trailing only ‘Baahubali 2’ in terms of revenue.
