Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Gyan Sudha Misra said that the next generation should not develop the habit of gambling and while saving that generation, attention will have to be paid to the scale and this organization will have to fulfill a huge responsibility. She said that the self-regulatory body that will be formed for the online gaming industry should have IT, legal experts and law form so that it will be easier to regulate.

Justice Gyan Sudha Misra thanked Nandan Jha, Chairman and Founder of the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, and said that he had selected a topic about which people do not know much. She said that to take the Indian economy forward, people from every sector will have to participate in it.

Interactive Forum on Indian Economy (IFIE) organized the National Economic Conclave 2024 “Modi’s Vision: Bharat- A $5 Trillion Economy” on 30 January 2024 at 10 AM at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India a $5 trillion economy and the third-largest economy in the world in the coming years. This conclave is organized to discuss the roadmap of how India will move in this direction, the special guests will include the 37th Chief Justice of India and former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Justice KG Balakrishnan, former Supreme Court Judge Justice Gyan Sudha Misra.

Along with this, she cautioned that there should be revenue from this industry but there should not be any mental distress. Youth are involved in this and their minds are also involved, so it is the responsibility of the self-regulatory body to conduct it properly. She suggested that in the beginning, if the government body and NGOs work together in the self-regulatory body, then they will be able to conduct it well.

She also suggested that some conditions should be placed in the Ethical Committee which should be fulfilled by the companies and their owners only after that they and that organization gets recognition. Along with this, she said that we have to ensure that gambling does not come in the game of chance and the focus remains on skill.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
