The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the initial schedule for the first 17 days of the tournament, spanning from March 22 to April 7, featuring 21 matches, including four double-headers. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will set the stage for the first-afternoon fixture of the season on March 23 at the Mohali stadium.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders will open their season at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad later on the same day. The action-packed weekend continues with Rajasthan Royals commencing their season at home against Lucknow Super Giants on the first Sunday of the tournament.

Notably, the initial phase of the season will see no matches in Delhi, as the Delhi Capitals will play their two home games in Vizag. The BCCI is expected to unveil the remaining schedule following the announcement of the General Election dates by the Election Commission of India.
