In June-August next year, India will start their World Test Championship 2025-2027 cycle with a prestigious five-Test series in England. The England and Wales Cricket Board revealed the schedule for the upcoming series in their home summer schedule release on Thursday, August 22nd.

Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and London will host the Tests

The first Test will take place at Headingley in Leeds on June 20. The first game of the series will take place right after the conclusion of the World Test Championship 2023-25 final, scheduled to happen in June in London. Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford and the Oval will host the remaining four Tests of the series.

This will mark India’s maiden bilateral Test series tour to England since their 2021-22 visit. Virat Kohli guided the team to a 2-1 advantage before the last Test match was rescheduled and took place in 2022. India’s defeat in the rescheduled Test match led by Jasprit Bumrah resulted in England tying the series.

Indian women will participate in five T20Is and three ODIs in England simultaneously.

Richard Gould, CEO of ECB, was looking forward to the five-Test series against India being just as thrilling as the previous one.

“Touring India is consistently a major attraction and a standout feature of every cricket season. The previous Men’s Test series was thrilling and I believe the upcoming clash will be just as exciting, with our women’s series consistently being fiercely competitive. Gould expressed his joy about welcoming both West Indies teams back for white ball series, after this year’s Men’s Test series,” Gould said.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
