On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of seven multi-party delegations that recently visited more than 30 countries to emphasize India’s firm position against terrorism after Operation Sindoor.
The gathering occurred at the residence of the Prime Minister located at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. Members of the delegation, comprising MPs from various parties, past parliamentarians, and high-ranking diplomats, recounted their encounters with foreign leaders and officials during their outreach efforts.
The delegations were dispatched as part of India’s diplomatic efforts to highlight the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s resulting reaction. Every group traveled to important capitals globally to emphasize India’s determination against Pakistan-backed terrorism and strengthen the nation’s dedication to worldwide peace.

More than 50 people participated in the outreach mission, comprising current and former MPs as well as former diplomats. The leaders who led the delegations included BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, JD(U)’s Sanjay Jha, Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Shinde, DMK’s Kanimozhi, and NCP(SP)’s Supriya Sule. The involvement of leaders from both the opposition and the ruling coalition gave the initiative a bipartisan quality.

The Ministry of External Affairs had previously commended the teams for effectively conveying India’s position in global forums. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar conducted a distinct meeting with the delegates last week, commending their contribution to raising global consciousness regarding the terrorism threat originating from Pakistan.
Every delegation concentrated on a particular region — spanning the US and Europe to the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Conversations covered topics from counterterrorism collaboration to strategic alliances, as the Indian teams also tackled issues concerning misinformation and propaganda.
The government’s decision to send inclusive delegations, featuring MPs like Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Manish Tewari (Congress), and Prem Chand Gupta (RJD), was widely seen as an attempt to present a unified front on an issue of national importance.
