IND vs AUS 5th Test:
Have you ever seen a non-striker’s get a send off?
Bit to unpack here but the headline is Usman Khawaja is out and Australia go to stumps 1-9 in reply to India’s 185.
It came after wicket-taker Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Konstas faced off with two balls to go in a spicy ending to the first day at the SCG.
Fiery scenes in the final over at the SCG!

Khawaja wasn’t ready as Bumrah started his run up (much like Shubman Gill tried to stall the Aussies prior to lunch), which prompted the India captain to hold out his arms in frustration.
Bumrah then took exception to Konstas getting involved from the non-striker’s end after the second-gamer twice told the star paceman “he’s not ready”.
Umpires then had to get between the pair as the emotions bubbled over and when play eventually resumed, Bumrah had Khawaja nicking to KL Rahul at second slip from the last ball of the day.

That prompted wild scenes from the Indians as Bumrah immediately turned to stare down Konstas, while plenty of his teammates got up in Konstas’ grille as they ran to celebrate with Bumrah.
First it was Kohli, now Bumrah, the one thing that is certain is Australia’s teenage opener is certainly getting under the skin of the tourists. He’d hope he gets a few runs tomorrow though…
All-in-all, a good day for Australia despite the loss of Khawaja for two. Stick around for our day recap and highlights, which will be up shortly.
Bumrah ends the day with a beauty to dismiss Usman Khawaja and then gives a cold stare to youngster Sam Konstas!
