A meeting to review border and airport security is currently taking place at the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah. The Director Generals of BSF and CISF, along with the Chief of Intelligence Bureau, are present at the meeting.

High-ranking officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs are also in attendance. Home Minister Amit Shah is assessing the security conditions at the India-Pakistan border.

The IB chief reached Home Minister Amit Shah’s house for the review meeting. The Director General of BSF, the Director General of CISF, along with high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs also reached his residence.

Rajnath Singh’s MeetinG Concludes

Meanwhile, the meeting of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with CDS, and the three service heads went on for 2 hours. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi provided updates on the current situation with Pakistan during the meeting, while Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A P Singh reported on the actions undertaken by the Air Force.

Sitharaman to review cybersecurity preparedness of financial institutions

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will assess the cybersecurity preparedness of India’s financial institutions this evening, amid growing worries regarding the security of essential banking infrastructure as tensions with Pakistan escalate.

Financial institutions have been instructed to enhance their online security measures due to the ongoing conflict.

“The FM is holding a review meeting today at 4.30 pm. Yes, we have issued a detailed advisory on it (cybersecurity),” a top government official told Moneycontrol.

The official discussed a ministry recommendation instructing public sector banks and major financial institutions to enhance their digital security protocols.

The meeting is anticipated to unite high-ranking officials from the finance ministry, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), which manages the UPI payments system, and leading public sector banks.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated on Friday that the process of evacuating residents from regions near the International Border (IB) is proceeding without any issues.
