Israel admits to targeted striking on Hezbollah in Beirut
According to a Hezbollah insider in Lebanon, an Israeli air strike on Friday resulted in the death of one of its key military commanders, as confirmed by Israel’s admission of conducting a “targeted strike” in Beirut.
The source, who asked to remain anonymous for discussing sensitive topics, revealed that the Israeli attack on Hezbollah’s base in south Beirut resulted in the death of Ibrahim Aqil, the leader of the group’s top Radwan unit.
Lebanon’s health ministry reported that three individuals lost their lives and 17 others were injured.

Israel confirmed carrying out a “focused attack” in Beirut, where a security official reported an airstrike had targeted Hezbollah’s stronghold in the southern part of the city.
The third air strike in the southern suburbs of Beirut since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war on October 7 marks a significant shift in the focus of the violence from Gaza to Lebanon this week.

Israel is accused of carrying out strikes that resulted in the deaths of Fuad Shukr of Hezbollah in July and Saleh al-Aruri of Hamas in January.
Israel announced Hezbollah launched numerous rockets from Lebanon in response to airstrikes
Israel earlier announced that Hezbollah had launched a large number of rockets from Lebanon in response to airstrikes that destroyed many of the group’s launchers.
Israeli forces have been targeting Hamas in Gaza for almost a year, while also being involved in daily confrontations with Hezbollah.
The escalating exchanges occurred as the UN Security Council got ready to talk about the recent attacks on Hezbollah pagers and two-way radios, resulting in 37 fatalities and thousands of injuries in a span of two days.

Hezbollah launched rockets at six Israeli military bases following a fierce overnight bombardment in south Lebanon.
The Israeli military reported that during the night their aircraft targeted infrastructure and found around 100 launchers prepared for firing.
Hezbollah said two of its fighters were killed, without elaborating.
