Case registered against Bhole Baba aka Suraj Pal Singh

Bhole Baba, whose real name is Suraj Pal Singh, was charged in the Hathras stampede case for the first time. The case against him was filed in Patna Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court.

Earlier today, in a video statement, Baba expressed his sadness over the Hathras stampede incident and urged affected families to have faith in the judiciary.

“I’m terribly disturbed by the occurrence. May God provide us the strength to face this agony. Please have faith in the government and administration. I have faith that anyone who caused the mayhem will not be spared. “Through my lawyer, AP Singh, I have requested that the members of the committee stand with the bereaved families and the injured and assist them throughout their lives,” he stated.

Main accused arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police

Meanwhile, Dev Prakash Madhukar, the main accused in the July 2 Hathras stampede, which killed 121 people, was detained on Friday night.

On July 3, the state government appointed a three-member judicial commission, led by a former high court judge, to investigate the Hathras disaster and the potential of a conspiracy behind the stampede.

On Saturday, Madhukar will appear in a municipal court. Madhukar, the’mukhya sevadar’ of the satsang where the stampede happened, is the sole accused identified in the First Information Report (FIR). He will join the investigation and provide information about the “anti-social elements” at the event. The Uttar Pradesh Police issued a Rs 1 lakh reward for information leading to Madhukar’s arrest.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
