A political comeback by Bollywood actor Govinda could be planned in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to reports, Govinda is anticipated to run from Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena for the Lok Sabha seat representing North-West Mumbai. According to reports Govinda met with Maharashtra Chief Minister Shinde earlier this month. This meeting, which happened last week, coincidentally has added credence to the rumors of his comeback to politics.
Govinda’s Political Journey; Exit from Congress
Govinda has experience in the political sphere. He defeated seasoned BJP politician Ram Naik when running successfully for the Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat in 2004 on the Congress platform. He did, however, eventually leave the Congress party.
Govinda ran as a Congress candidate for the Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat in the 2004 Lok Sabha election. He overcame Ram Naik, a senior BJP leader.
Later on, though, Govinda broke with the Congress party and politics, opting not to run for office in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

Maharashtra Lok Sabha Elections: Seat-Sharing Disputes and Alliances
The 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be up for election in five phases between April 19 and May 20, with vote counting scheduled for June 4.
Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi have differed on the issue of seat-sharing (MVA). Seat sharing between the BJP and the Ajit Pawar-led NCP has not yet been finalized by Eknath Shinde.
After announcing candidates for 17 Lok Sabha seats, the Shiv Sena, led by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, infuriated both the Congress and the National Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar).
Components of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) For the 48 Maharashtra seats, seat-sharing talks have been held by the Congress, Sena (UBT), and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar). Sena (UBT) has declared that it will run for 22 state seats.
