Gandhi Mandela Foundation and Kathak Dharohar organized the cultural program “Padharo Mhare Desh” (Come to my country) on the occasion of 96th Lok Sabha Secretariat Day at Parliament House Auditorium, New Delhi on 13 January. India’s rich cultural heritage, history and art was displayed grandly in this programme. The event showcased the diversity of India through various dance styles and performances.
Honorable Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was present as the chief guest in this program. Other dignitaries present on this occasion included Acharya Lokesh Muni (Vice President, GMF), Advocate Nandan Jha (General Secretary, GMF), Utpal Kumar Singh (Lok Sabha General Secretary) and others.
Through this programme, the diverse traditions and cultural heritage of India were presented in the form of dance, which included classical and folk dance styles like Kathak, Bihu, Bharatnatyam and Odissi.
These dance styles were presented with beauty and excellence, reflecting the cultural diversity of India.
The program has been conceptualized and choreographed by renowned artist Sadanand Biswas, whose innovative vision strives to fuse traditional art forms with contemporary expression.
To make the performance more engaging, the lighting was designed by Sangeet Srivastava, brilliantly illuminating every movement and expression of the dancers.
Choreographer of the event, Sadanand Biswas said, “We are extremely excited to organize this grand Indian cultural extravaganza with Gandhi Mandela Foundation. “Through this event we want to introduce people from all walks of life to the diverse aspects of India’s dance, music and history.”
On this occasion, Lok Sabha Secretariat honored Gandhi Mandela Foundation’s executive committee member and social worker Seema Singh (Founder, Meghashray NGO), Dr. Sohini Shastri (astrologer and social worker), Kailash Chandra Parwal (creator/writer) and Sanjay Lalwani. Went.
