November 7: A routine disagreement over a parking space ended in a fatal shooting in Faridabad on Friday night, with a senior technology executive killed after his neighbour allegedly opened fire on him with a licensed pistol.
Paramjit Dhankhar, who had earlier headed the Asia operations of Indian IT major Tech Mahindra and was reportedly working for a Vietnam-based company, was shot nine times and died at the scene. He had returned from Singapore two days earlier to attend his nephew’s wedding, scheduled for November 24.
Police identified the alleged shooter as Mohan Sharma, also known as Monu, who lived on the third floor of the same residential building. Sharma allegedly fired around 15 rounds before fleeing with his family.
According to Surajkund police station officer Prahlad Kumar, Dhankhar lived with his wife, son and daughter on the first floor of house number 641 in Sector 21C. Originally from Hisar, he had been residing in Singapore for work.

Can you believe this?
He is Paramjith Dhankar
He was the APAC business head for Tech Mahindra.
He had come home to Faridabad for Diwali, had an argument with his neighbour over parking, and his neighbour shot him dead in broad daylight in Faridabad.
We saw a similar incident in Lucknow last week when three people were shot dead over a parking dispute.

Forget India as a nation for a moment, India as a society is cooked.

The shooting occurred around 8 pm after the tech executive returned from the gym and found Sharma’s car parked in his designated space in the building’s parking area. When he asked his neighbour to move the vehicle, an argument broke out.
Police said Sharma then came to the parking area with his licensed pistol and opened fire.
Investigators are also examining a series of earlier disputes between the two families. According to police, one source of tension was Sharma’s son allegedly allowing his pet dog to relieve itself in the parking area.
Dhankhar’s son, Surya, had objected to this on several occasions. The two families had argued over the issue four to five days before the shooting, although the confrontations had subsided each time.
Officials said Sharma had allegedly used abusive language against the tech executive’s son about five days before the killing.
Police, Crime Branch personnel and a Forensic Science Laboratory team reached the scene after the shooting. Investigators recovered several empty cartridge cases from the area.
Dhankhar’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Police have formed multiple teams to trace and arrest Sharma, who remains at large.
Investigators are questioning people familiar with the earlier disputes and examining the circumstances that led to the shooting.
