India vs Bangladesh 1st Test: Jasprit Bumrah takes his 400th wicket in International cricket
Jasprit Bumrah reached a significant milestone during the second day of the opening Test match between India and Bangladesh in Chennai. Bumrah is just the 10th Indian bowler and the sixth fast bowler from India to achieve 400 wickets in international cricket across all formats.
Hasan Mahmud of Bangladesh was the 400th player to be dismissed by Bumrah in his career at the international level.
In home conditions, Jasprit Bumrah continued his top form and took three wickets during the first two sessions on Friday. Bumrah took a wicket in his initial over by dismissing Bangladesh opener Shadman Islam after hitting the off-stump of the left-hander. Afterwards, he got rid of Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmud during the second session.
