Near Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, an army vehicle carrying at least 18 people plunged into a 150-meter-deep chasm. There is a rescue operation under progress now.

Srinagar: An army vehicle carrying around 18 soldiers plunged into a ravine that was between 300 and 350 feet deep. Numerous soldiers have reportedly been injured. A rescue and relief effort has been initiated.

According to reports, the accident happened in the Gharoa area while an Army vehicle was traveling to Banoi in the district.

Eight or nine jawans were seriously injured when the vehicle crashed into a steep chasm that was between 300 and 350 feet deep, they claimed.

What we know about the incidence

A 2.5-ton vehicle that was a member of a six-vehicle convoy near Poonch plunged into a ravine and then ran off the road. The incident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m.

There were at least ten soldiers inside the car, according to accounts.

Five of the ten have died, and the remaining five are hurt. The wounded soldiers have been taken to a neighboring medical facility.

The accident’s cause is being determined. The driver lost control, which is what caused the accident, according to the preliminary investigation.

According to sources, authorities have ruled out the likelihood that it was a terror attack.

The White Knight Corps of the Army has expressed their sympathies for the tragedy.
