Captain Singh was a member of Army’s Corps of Signals

According to Defence Ministry authorities, Captain Deepak Singh was a member of the Army’s Corps of Signals and was on deputation with the 48 Rashtriya Rifles.

According to officials, he was promoted to field Major and assigned to oversee a company throughout the operation.

“A captain of the Indian Army from the 48 Rashtriya Rifles was killed in action during the ongoing Op Assar in Doda district. Operations are still in progress,” Defence Ministry officials said.

A search operation for the terrorists has been launched in the area amidst the heavy gunfight, the Army’s White Knight Corps said in a post on X.

The terrorists are believed to be hiding in the Shivgarh-Assar belt and four of them might have also been injured as four blood-soaked rucksacks were found in the area.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
