Donald Trump takes oath; delivers strong address
Donald Trump has returned to the White House. He was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on Monday during a ceremony with world leaders, prominent businessmen, and other distinguished guests.
Soon after the inauguration event, President Trump, filled with confidence, gave his first speech to the country from Capitol Hill.
Trump, who had suggested that he would kick off his presidency with a show of power, commenced his speech with nationalistic themes as he promised to “put America first.”
“The golden age of America begins right now. From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world,” he said.
He also pledged to make America “greater, stronger, and much more extraordinary than it has ever been.”
