The Ukraine Embassy in India reported on Saturday that a Russian missile hit the warehouse of an Indian pharmaceutical firm in Kyiv. It also claimed that Moscow “deliberately” aimed at Indian enterprises despite possessing a “special friendship” with New Delhi.

The warehouse that was targeted in the Russian strike belongs to an Indian pharma company named Kusum.

“Today, a Russian missile struck the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine. While claiming ‘special friendship’ with India, Moscow deliberately targets Indian businesses – destroying medicines meant for children and the elderly,” the Ukraine Embassy in India tweeted.

Martin Harris, the UK’s envoy to Ukraine, additionally asserted that Russian attacks demolished a “major pharma’s warehouse in Kyiv.” Nonetheless, his post failed to specify if the warehouse is owned by Kusum and stated that the attack was executed by Russian drones, not a missile.

“This morning, Russian drones completely destroyed a major pharmaceuticals warehouse in Kyiv, incinerating stocks of medicines needed by the elderly and children. Russia’s campaign of terror against Ukrainian civilians continues,” Harris tweeted.

The envoy shared an image depicting smoke rising from what seemed to be a warehouse, along with a fire truck at the location.

Earlier today, Russia’s defense ministry alleged that Ukraine executed five attacks on Russian energy infrastructure in the last 24 hours, breaching a US-mediated halt on such attacks.

Last month, Ukraine and Russia, which have been in conflict since Moscow invaded the neighboring nation in February 2022, agreed to halt attacks on one another’s energy infrastructure. Nonetheless, both parties have consistently alleged that the other is violating the moratorium.

India has emphasized that communication between Russia and Ukraine is the sole method to attain peace in the area and has remained neutral, even while maintaining friendly relations with both Moscow and Kyiv.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
