The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led early trends as voting began for the Delhi Assembly election on Saturday, which will determine the national capital’s next government. The AAP is on track to catch up, while Congress is well behind.

AAP leaders Arving Kejriwal, Atishi, and Manish Sisodia are lagging BJP candidates in the New Delhi, Kalkaji, and Jangpura constituencies, respectively.

According to early trends, the BJP was ahead in as many as 42 seats within 30 minutes of the start of vote counting, while AAP led in 25 seats in the Delhi Assembly election on Saturday.

The AAP hopes to retain power in Delhi, while the BJP is confident that it will break the 27-year jinx and create a double engine government. Congress, on the other hand, has the most difficult challenge: avoiding scoring a zero for the third time.

On the morning of February 8, Delhi was humming like never before, with key political leaders going on a temple run to seek blessings from the almighty after courting Delhi voters with all of their might.

“He (Arvind Kejriwal) will become the Chief Minister for the fourth time,” CM Atishi said on Saturday morning, exuding confidence in AAP’s victory.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
