The Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended a suspect on Saturday at Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh related to the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Mumbai earlier this week.
The arrested suspect, Aakash Kailash Kannojia (31), was aboard the Jnaneshwari Express traveling from Mumbai LTT to Kolkata Shalimar.
Officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) stated that the suspect was “apprehended from the Mumbai-Howrah Jnaneswari Express on the lead of the Mumbai Police. Around 2 pm, as the train arrived in Durg, the suspect – who was sitting in the general compartment – exited and was swiftly detained. He is undergoing questioning.”
“The Mumbai Police had sent the suspect’s photo, train number, and location to the RPF, leading to his capture. He is presently in the custody of the RPF,” they stated.
“Actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked some days ago and the suspect has been caught from Durg by RPF. Mumbai Police is coming and the suspect will be handed over to them,” said Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai.

Khan, 54, a well-known Bollywood star, suffered several stab injuries during a robbery attempt at his 12th floor apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra region early Thursday morning. However, doctors have declared that he is no longer in danger and will be released shortly.
Reports indicate that Khan had a lengthy cut on the right side of his neck, an additional cut on his right shoulder, and a severe stab wound on the left side of his back. Moreover, he had a small abrasion on his left elbow.
