In a striking development before the Delhi Assembly elections, Chief Minister Atishi claimed that the Central government has revoked the allocation of her official residence at 6 Flag Staff Road for the second time in three months. Atishi disclosed that the eviction notice was delivered one day prior to the Election Commission of India releasing the polling schedule, suggesting political motives behind the action.

Atishi alleged that the BJP was focusing on her and her family as a form of revenge. “When I took office as Chief Minister, the BJP cast my possessions onto the street.” They may take our homes, halt our jobs, but they cannot extinguish our dedication to serving the people of Delhi. If necessary, I will come and reside with the residents of Delhi and continue to work for them,” she stated, speaking to her supporters and the press.”

Vowing to advocate for the residents of Delhi, she stated, “I pledge that I will guarantee every woman in Delhi receives Rs 2,100 through the Mahila Samman Yojana.” Every priest will be given an honorarium of Rs 18,000, and all senior citizens will benefit from free medical treatment through the Sanjeevani Yojana.

The eviction notice has requested the Delhi Chief Minister to decide between two different residences – Bungalow No. 2 located at 8 Raj Niwas Lane in Civil Lines or Bungalow No. 115 situated at Ansari Road in Daryaganj.

According to PWD sources, Atishi was expected to relocate to the Chief Minister’s residence within a week of taking office, but she did not do so even after three months, leading to the cancellation of her allotment.

According to sources, a condition for Atishi receiving the house was her requirement to assist probing agencies due to the investigation of the 6 Flagstaff residence.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
