Just a few hours after ChatGPT announced it had fired CEO Sam Altman, a move that shocked the tech community, co-founder and president of OpenAI Greg Brockman announced his resignation. Brockman expressed that he was “saddened” and had not yet accepted the board’s choice to fire Altman. He claimed that he was sacked from the board and after a “quick” Google Meet call, Altman was ousted from the business.

In a statement posted on X, Brockman said he was “super proud of what we have all built together since starting in my apartment eight years ago”.

As part of the previously disclosed plans, Brockman was expected to leave his position as board chairman but continue to work for the company, serving as the next CEO’s point of contact.

After a study revealed that Sam Altman was “not consistently candid in his communications” with the board of directors, OpenAI announced that he has been fired.

“The board no longer has confidence in his ability to continue leading OpenAI,” the artificial intelligence company said in a statement.

In the year since Altman catapulted ChatGPT to global fame, Altman has become a sought-after expert in Silicon Valley on the potential benefits and risks of artificial intelligence. However, the abrupt and mostly unexplained termination of his company raised questions about the industry’s future.

Regarding Altman’s purported lack of candor, OpenAI refuses to respond. According to the statement, his actions were impeding the board’s capacity to carry out its duties.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
